My big day.... August, 29

Hey!
So now my big day is allready more or less over what means that Sabina arrived safely and well here in Vancouver. The other thing about her arriving is ... yes i get my laptop and I can now go to the internet all day. So for you that means that I can upload now more pictures from Vancouver... especelly for Ste.So here is a picture of my friends. The man on the left is Silvio. I was with him on the Vancouver Island and in Whistler. I hope you can see the big guy in the middle :-) this one is Phillipe a guy from Graubünden and I think the most famous Swissguy under the Japanese girls here in Vancouver.

So in the moment I have the problem that my WLAN-connection is very slow and I can't load up more pictures.... but I hope for the beginning it should be enough....

Wednesday 23.8.2006 6 days to go...

Hey my friends

I enjoy my last days here in Vancouver before Sabina is coming. I'm now going out a lot in the evening. I think I wasn't out really often before so I have to go know because it's my last week. Yesterday I was in a guyclub in downtown. It was not bad... but the music was a bit too loud and the waiters were really guy. They touched you, when they wanted to ask you if you want something to drink. So I didn't feel really comfertable in there sometimes. In general it was a good evening, because I have known a lot of people in there, unfortunately a lot of Swiss people what means that I spoke a lot of Swissgerman there. Today was my last day of a whole day school. Tomorrow we will have the test (which isn't really important for me because I leave the school next week) and then we will have a big boat party tomorrow. So I don't know really what I will do at the weekend maybe I go to the beach. On Sunday a girl from Switzerland is arriving and I will show her a bit the city. I think that will be my weekend.

Finally you hear something from me.

Hey!
I think I have to change my writing language into English because I should speak in English in school as well. So I try it really often I also think I have done some progress.
This week I haven't so many things to as I had in the last few weeks. I was in the Museum of Anthropology, which is not really interesting.. I would actually say boring. Yesterday I decided to go home after school and to study a bit of my studies of law, I have to do for the university. I think it worked really well and I can just continue today. Today I have planed to go running because I'm in the moment too heavy and I have to bring this kilos away before Sabina arrives here.
Tomorrow I will have the chance to visit the stadium of the Vancouver Canucks, which is the ice hockey team of Vancouver. This chance I couldn't miss because it's a real big stadium actually bigger then the one of the SCB in Bern. And I have already weekend, there I will go to Red Bull Contest. This is a little funny contest where they fly over a ramp with self constructed planes. I hope it will be fun. On Sunday I will visit a museum like Ballenberg in the Berner Oberland. There are a lot of old houses from the whole state of British Columbia. I don't if this will be interesting.. I hope but my homestay mother told me a lot of times I should go there so I finally decided to do that this weekend.
I have to explain you, that I wasn't at my honest for the last three weekends. On the first one I was in Whistler, in the mountains, the second one I was on the Vancouver Island to see the cities and the whales and the last one I was again on the Island but to surf. It was a lot of fun all these weekend, but now I think I have to stay at home for the last 2 weekends. The reason is not only that I don't know really where I should go, because I have already seen a lot of things the other reason is, that I would run out of money. So I have to save some money for my big trip to the Rocky's and the Vancouver Island again. What I haven't done as a weekend trip is a trip to Seattle in the United States. But I don't really know if I want to go there, because it's difficult to go over the boarder and many people told me they had a lot of problems with the US boarder services. So I think I could be an other good expericence but I don't know if I need that.

So now my blog is updated again. I know I should put pictures into the blog, but this is more difficult then you think. I have the pictures on CDs and these CDs are at my homestay in North Vancouver. I'm now here in the school and don't have the pictures here. So I will put them on the Internet as soon as I have my own laptop what means when Sabina has arrived.
I think then I can show you more actually pictures, which I will have made in the Rockys. Hopefully some of animals and maybe one of a bear or a wolf.
